Celebrating National Racehorse Week Raceday

Make the most of the summer and head to the races. Join us at Musselburgh Racecourse for a special Celebrating National Racehorse Week Raceday, held in partnership with Great British Racing, a raceday dedicated to showcasing the skill, athleticism, and journey of Thoroughbreds past and present. The raceday brings racing fans closer to the heart of the sport and alongside the racing, the day will feature an exciting Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) parade, shining a spotlight on the second careers of former racehorses and the incredible versatility they show beyond the track. In the spirit of National Racehorse Week, the raceday also places strong emphasis on education and engagement. We are delighted to welcome a local school to the course, giving students a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes, meet racehorses up close, and see first-hand the love, care and attention that goes into looking after them, and learn how they are cared for, trained, and prepared for both racing and life after sport.
