The annual RNLI Lifeboat Day brings the whole town together in support of the incredible work of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. Expect a vibrant, feel-good atmosphere with craft stalls, local makers, delicious food and drink, and plenty of entertainment to keep the whole family smiling throughout the day. The harbour will be buzzing with activity, and the much-loved parade along Victoria Street is always a highlight, full of colour, community spirit, and a real sense of celebration. Once again, The Harbour Chapel will be opening our doors for the duration of the festival. Whether you’re looking for a relaxed spot to take it all in, a refreshing drink, or simply an excuse to explore our beautiful space, we’d love to welcome you. Our front gardens offer one of the best vantage points in town to enjoy the parade as it makes its way down towards the harbour, the perfect place to pause, sip, and soak up the atmosphere. Entertainment at The Harbour Chapel will be provided by well renowned “Sea Shanty Queen” Joss Cameron, who will be joined by Amy Dudley for some stories and songs of the seas. As seen on BBC Scotland and STV, this performance transcends a simple concert, offering a truly immersive experience where you’re invited to play your part. Join the chorus, recount your own seafaring tales, and delve deep into the captivating lore of sailors and age-old maritime traditions that have navigated through history. Entry is free but we are hoping to raise funds for Dunbar RNLI and would welcome donations through one of our collection boxes. Come for the cause, stay for the atmosphere, and make a day of it in Dunbar.
