Kaleidoscope's second programme ends with an especially tuneful addition to our Mozart concerto survey - the charming and sunny No 12 in A played by Tom Poster with string quintet accompaniment, as was common in Mozart's day. Vaughan Williams suppressed his Brahmsian Piano Quintet (1903) after its early performances. In 1999, luckily, it was rediscovered and a major work added to the RVW canon.
