Join Tyne & Esk Writers at Dunbar Library on Wednesday 10 June for an evening with prize-winning author and Edinburgh Makar Michael Pedersen Meet the Author: Michael Pedersen Michael Pedersen is a prize-winning Scottish author, the former Writer in Residence at Edinburgh University, and Edinburgh’s Makar/Poet Laureate. He writes across fiction (Muckle Flugga), non-fiction (Boy Friends) and poetry (The Cat Prince). Pedersen has won a Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship and a Books Are My Bag Readers Award, as well as being shortlisted for the Forward Poetry Prizes, The Authors\' Club Best First Novel Award, the Saltire National Book Awards and more. A Sunday Times Critics\' Choice, his work has been translated into French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Estonian, with praise garnered from the likes of Stephen Fry, Jackie Kay, Irvine Welsh and beyond. Michael will read from his work, followed by a discussion about his writing, inspirations and creative process, with time for audience questions.
