The Nungate Gala returns to Haddington on Saturday 8 August 2026, marking its 30th year with a parade, crowning and an afternoon of family fun.
One of Haddington's longest-running community celebrations marks a milestone in 2026, its 30th year since the gala was revived. The day centres on the field off Whittingehame Drive in the Nungate, with a parade and crowning ceremony followed by an afternoon of entertainment, funfair rides, inflatables, stalls and food. Organised each year by a team of local volunteers, the Nungate Gala has roots stretching back to the 1940s.
