Prestonpans Children's Gala

Prestonpans Children's Gala day takes place at Mary Murray Park on Saturday 13 June 2026, the centrepiece of the town's Civic Week. Gala day is a day out for all ages, with a funfair, climbing wall, live entertainment, an ice cream and snack van and plenty of treats. A £2 gala bag includes a free ice cream. Civic Week begins the day before with a pet show outside the Community Centre, and carries on through the following week with bingo at the Labour Club, inflatable fun and a children's disco at the Community Centre, an over fifties gala concert at the Royal British Legion, and a colour run and sensory play session. Most events are free, with tickets available from Prestonpans Community Centre, the Pennypit Centre and C and A Funeral Services. The gala is run by the local committee, with a new junior gala committee helping to plan the year, bringing the town together for one of the highlights of the summer.
