The countdown to the Cheltenham and Grand National Festivals starts here. The Scottish Cheltenham Trials Raceday delivers elite jumps racing, drawing some of the UK and Ireland's top trainers. Sunday features the bet365 Edinburgh National, a key trial that consistently attracts contenders bound for both the Cheltenham and Grand National Festivals. This is the BIGGEST Cheltenham Trials in Scotland and one of the biggest trials in the UK. In previous years, Musselburgh has showcased horses that have gone on to festival glory, including Frodon, Seeyouatmidnight, Mighty Thunder, Greanateen and most recently, Thistle Ask. We have also welcomed some of the sport’s biggest names, such as Nicky Henderson, Paul Nicholls, Lucinda Russell, Fergal O’Brien and Dan Skelton. With an electric atmosphere, an excellent choice of places to eat and drink, and the opportunity to see the country’s top owners, trainers, jockeys and horses in action, this is a must-attend event for all jumps racing fans. Free car parking is available at Musselburgh Racecourse.
