theSpace, in collaboration with many other local organisations and businesses, is excited to announce the 1st \'Dunbar Uprising Festival\', from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st June across Dunbar. Designed and put together by our young events team this is an effort to pay homage to the days of The Dunbar Festival of Youth which until about a decade ago ran from the Countess Centre, and to create an new annual event that celebrates youth in comunity. On the Saturday we are teaming up with Wishing Tree by the Sea. Huge thanks to Bev for letting us use their market set up. This is an all age family day. There will be live music all day from 12 to 8, a mix of acoustic acts, live bands, and DJ and MC sessions, showcasing young talent from Dunbar and across East Lothian. East Lothian Bouncy Castles will be bringing the bounce to our kids zone, with fun games and a balance bike course from 12 to 4. There will be a family Ceilidh with tunes from the Armstrong Ceilidh band from 4.30 to 6, piped in by Harris the Piper. North Berwick Youth Project and Jamies Backyard Slice are coming along to provide tasty Pizza alongside Bev and her team in the cafe. theSpace will be putting on drop-in DJ Workshops from 12 to 4.
