100 Tubas at Amisfield playing Red Note Ensemble at Amisfield Walled Garden, Haddington - Promenade Concert on Sat 19 Sept 6pm as part of the Lammermuir Festival. The glorious natural and acoustical surroundings of Amisfield Walled Garden form the background for an extraordinary event. Gathering 100 tuba players together for a performance of Anthony Braxton's legendary Composition No 19 interspersed with heraldic brass fanfares this unique performance - part concert, part ritual - will make the walls of the garden reverberate with deep, evocative sounds as the sun dips below the horizon. Red Note (creators of FLOCK, Aeolian, These Lands This Wall, 1000 Airplanes on the Roof) once again bring the unexpected to the Lammermuir Festival.
